Sunglasses Season with Warby Parker

Happy May, everyone! I’m so excited to be celebrating the start of the new month with Warby Parker, an eyewear company that’s all about style, class, and ease for their customers. They sell regular eyeglasses and sunglasses and even offer a try-at-home option to make the whole process easier.

Today, Warby Parker is celebrating the sunshine season by launching their brand new Summer Sun sunglass collection, and I’m thrilled to be working with them to give you a peek at what they look like! Keep reading for more about the collection and ideas for how to style them!

Warby Parker’s Sunglasses

Warby Parker knows that sunglasses need to be a combination of functional and stylish. All of their lenses are scratch-resistant and have 100% UV protection. Their sunglasses can be made out of one of the following durable materials: cellulose acetate, titanium or a combination of the two. They are all made to maintain their shape and shine through everything life throws your way. Warby Parker sells sunglasses for both men and women, as well as prescription sunglasses.

The Ames sunglasses are an example of the mixed-material glasses, a combination of both the cellulose acetate and titanium. This shade is the Whiskey Tortoise with Green-Grey lenses and costs about $145.

Summer Sun Collection

Warby Parker’s brand new Summer Sun collection includes 17 styles in fun, summery colors. Some of these styles are for both men and women, while some are made just for one or the other. The collection starts at $95 a pair and still maintains the company’s usual durable builds.

What I really like about the Summer Sun line is that even though the frames are colorful, they are still versatile. They can be worn to work, fancy events, casual days at the beach and more. A good pair of sunglasses should be versatile, especially when they cost about $100. I definitely think Warby Parker’s Summer Sun sunglasses fit that bill.

Even though there are 17 versatile styles in Warby Parker’s new sunglasses collection, I’m only going to highlight a few specific pairs with only one way that I would style them. You can see the entire collection here.

Haskell Sunglasses in Paloma Crystal with Brown Gradient Lenses

I really love the color of these Haskell glasses in Paloma Crystal, made out of cellulose acetate. It’s almost a rose-gold type color that I think is so pretty. The frames themselves feature rounded lenses and thin arms that create a perfect balance. I think the round frames also give the glasses an effortlessly glam feeling.

I can totally imagine wearing these glasses to a casual backyard party where I still want to look a little glamorous and maybe a little bohemian. I really like the idea of pairing the Haskell sunnies with a maxi dress and long earrings. Flat sandals and a casual bag keep the look grounded.

Flynn Sunglasses in Smoky Quartz Crystal with Green-Grey Lenses, starting at $95

These glasses look so effortlessly cool. They’re sort of see-through, sort of green, and totally trendy. Like the Haskell glasses, they are made out of cellulose acetate and have a rounded silhouette, but the arms are a little thicker. Despite the similarities to the Haskell sunglasses, I think the color of this pair makes them edgy and fun while still being versatile.

I think the Flynn sunglasses are perfect for a hike or a nature walk, two of my favorite summer activities. I’d play up the muted green shade of the glasses with a pair of patterned work out pants and a colorful pair of sneakers. A high ponytail and a headband keep hair out of your face and your sunnies the center of attention.

Jones Sunglasses in Rose Guava with Flash Reflective Brown Gradient Lenses, Starting at $95

These sunglasses are another slam dunk in the realm of color. This shade of pink reminds me of summer sunsets and cotton candy. I really like the shape of the sides (also made out of cellulose acetate), too. I think they’re fun and interesting.

The Jones sunglasses would be perfect for a pool or beach party. The guava color could play off a colorful, quirky hat really well, and a solid white bathing suit will help them stand out. I think the color can match well with nearly any color, so I can totally imagine wearing this with a brightly colored cover-up or dress, too, only to be accentuated by more neutral accessories.
